Our Haena,  Kauai, Hawaii (located near Hanalei) vacation home rental consists of a double A-frame with an enclosed central room (open to cool tropical breezes). There are two bedrooms upstairs, one on each side of the double A-frame, and on the first floor there are two  bedrooms, and a daybed in the wetbar area.  Full modern kitchen and large dining area, plus bar island in kitchen, and wetbar on the other side of livingroom.  Lots of room for groups to spread-out..

The home is  furnished with South Pacific decor, has natural cedar walls and sleeps up to twelve persons adults. It is estimated at 1,900 square feet, and has a smooth top electric stove (with self-cleaning oven), washing machine and dryer, 21 cubic feet frost-free refrigerator, cassette tape Stereo, CD player, Color TV with Cable and DVD/VCR, dishwasher, and a microwave oven. There are two complete indoor bathrooms and an outdoor hot and cold water shower.

The rear of the home provides great views of wildlife, the mountains, and horses journey through this conservation land of 1000s of acres.  At night, the stars are brighter than you may have ever seen due to the fact that there is little development in the area. Second floor access for the disabled and elderly is poor.

This overhead photo was taken in the past when planes were allowed to fly overhead - something that is no longer done. A few changes have been seen over the years, including a few new homes nearby, but our home still feels like an island paradise getaway.

As shown in the photo, you are just a 3 minute easy walk to a semi-private fine white coral sand beach suitable for sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling. A vast variety of additional beaches and tropical pools suitable for swimming are nearby. Boating down the Na Pali Coast, helicopter rides, horseback riding, one of the world's top golf courses and tennis are available just a few miles away.
